My name is Randy Matthews, and I began my construction career in Midland, TX in 1981 with a general contractor, focusing on industrial and commercial projects.  I worked in administration, job-cost analysis, project management and as a job superintendent. After nearly a decade of contracting experience, I spent the next 20 years as the Director of Facilities for a large church.  This facility had several surrounding properties as well as the main campus which was over 300,000 square feet.  During these years of service, I supervised several extensive remodeling/reconstruction projects. In 2010 I relocated to Dallas, TX to create CPC Construction with the vision of specializing in small commercial projects to fill a niche that many larger contracting companies tend to avoid. My desire is to apply these 30 years of professional experience in commercial construction with my commitment to excellence, integrity, fine workmanship, and diligence to produce a product pleasing to the customer.

In an effort to conserve our natural resources, I decided to “reclaim” church pews that were being replaced and to repurpose them into beautiful pieces of furniture - Thus began Church Pew Carpenter.  The wood from the church pews is excellent quality and when milled down, exposes the natural beauty of the wood.  I leave some distress marks and nail holes remain, but the chewing gum is removed!
